We’re so excited to invite you back to our farm for our annual fall farm tour! New this year we are hosting the tour over two weekends - the farm will be open Saturday October 16th and Saturday October 26th from 10:00am until 3:00pm.

Meet the sheep and our llama Archie! Visit our milking barn, walk the fields where our sheep and lambs spend their summers, and learn how our little farm operates.

Fill out your afternoon with a visit to Cait’s Mom’s pottery studio and her Dad’s Agricultural Museum. You can also sneak a peak at the future home of our new creamery.

    Check out our milking barn, rotational grazing systems, and meet our sheep and llama!

    We'll have our raw sheeps milk cheeses, duvets, and lamb available for sale as well.

  • Linda Hynes Pottery Studio

    1105 Matheson Drive, Smiths Falls Ontario

    In her log studio located on the farm Linda creates porcelain and stoneware pottery with an emphasis on tea sets and dinnerware.

    Pottery is committed to form and function while being intended for daily use.

    Joining Linda at her studio both weekends will be Urban Woodworks, woodturner Stephane Gendron, with a selection of his fine turned woodenware.

  • Montague Farm Museum

    1112 Matheson Drive, Smiths Falls Ontario

    Bill Dobson has been collecting agricultural tools from the 19th century for the last 45 years. Come see his collection of antique farming equipment.

    Bill also raises non-certified organic beef. Ask him about his freezer orders!

The Farm Tour FAQ’s

What is the Farm Tour?

The Farm Tour is an open door event that allows you to see what we do all day. Cait and Kyle will be on hand at the sheep barn to answer all and any questions they can. We will also be selling our cheese, lamb and wool products during the tour. Cait’s parents run a pottery studio and agricultural museum that will also be open during the tour. You can walk between the three points of interest or drive.

Who’s Welcome?

The farm tour is a free event. Humans of all shapes and sizes are welcome but please leave your pets at home. First and foremost our farm is home to our flock and their comfort and safety during the tour is our number one priority.

What should I do to prepare?

Farming happens rain or shine and so will the farm tour - please dress accordingly! We are a working farm so practical footwear is a must! If you are have visited another farm please make sure to wear clean or washed shoes or boots. Bathroom facilities are available at the Sheep Barn and Pottery Studio. Make sure to bring snacks for young visitors (or hungry older ones).

How do I get there?

Milkhouse Farm and Dairy is located east of Smiths Falls, about an hours drive from downtown Ottawa. Our address is 805 Rosedale Road South. From Ottawa take the 416 south to Exit 49 for Rogers Stevens Drive. Then hang a left on Rosedale Road. There is lots of parking available at both the Pottery Studio and Museum and a limited amount of parking available at the sheep barn.
